Less than 2 WEEKS TO GO!!! PDF Print E-mail

The Highland March has become a recognised event in the Inverness CT calendar. An event which started 5 years ago and has raised over £12,000 for a variety of causes, is something that not only those taking part enjoy, but fans of the club keep track of.

This years event has seen the largest number of new recruits join for a week of walking, including another female to add to the list, Lady Madonna. She, persuaded by the HM legend 'Chumba', has agreed to attempt this End-to-End walk from Falkirk. No doubt she and the other new recruits - Slater,  Dunco (and IHE for thee last few days) - will enjoy this first outing and be proud to be a part of something so significant. Only at the Finish Line will they realise what all the preparations and hard work have been for, and will certainly go home and think - I want to do it next year!

But the Highland March is not just about personal goals and challenges - no no no - it's about working together, raising money for charity, increasing the profile of Sport in the Highlands and showing that not all football fans are hooligans! Highland March 6 is less than a fortnight away. Soon it will be days!

For the first time via HighlandMarch.co.uk, a Fundraiser has been organised outside the 'Main End-to-End Event'. Support Driver, CaleyD, has offered his body for a FULL WAXING (and we say pain is a 4-letter word hey?!) which will take place during the 'Virgin Vie Party Night' at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium on Thursday 1st May. Depending on the monies raised towards the Waxing, depends on how much hair is removed - At the last count, both arms and legs will have the pleasure - and pain - of total hair removal. Ouch!

A write up for this years efforts, and reviews of past events, are plastered on this website. We also hope to have a piece in the Matchday Programme (provided by Bryan Munro) for Inverness' next Home Fixture is against Gretna (Sat 3rd May, 3pm Kick Off) - a destination we had all trained and prepared to walk to had the fixtures allowed.

We will not slacken off now from our training and preparations. We will continue to make an effort. We will all make it through - Onwards and Upwards!
