Pain is a 4-letter Word??? .... 3 Weeks to go!!! PDF Print E-mail
It's now becoming clearer by the day how much hard work pays off. From the de-breifing of Highland March 5, through the planning of this years event, we have come a long way from the days where MFR did most of the 'leg work' for us. We have even, for the first year ever, secured a Fundraiser outside the 'Main Event', and indeed gained the potential to raise more money than in previous ventures.

The General, although already doing more than his fair amount of work for the Highland March, has put himself forward to endure the worst of all pains - Body Waxing...

Knowing that 'Pain is only a 4-letter word', The General has decided to make an attempt of proving this sentiment is incorrect - as he bares all in aid of this years event. By seperating the different parts of his body - on a chart, not for real - he will have each individual section fully waxed depending on how much money is put forward to the task in hand. Here is how it works

Left Arm - £50

Right Arm - £50

Left Leg - £75

Right Leg - £75

Back - £200

Front -  £250

Full Body Total = £700

And it's not just on the night that funds are to be raised for this experience of a lifetime either.
By clicking the 'Donate Button' and quoting 'CaleyD Body Wax', monies raised via HighlandMarch.co.uk will also contribute to the final target.

Raigmore Childrens Ward and the ICT youth and Community Development team will benefit from the proceeds from this Fundraiser, as well as all monies raised via Sponsorship, Charitable Donations and the Auctioning of products donated generously from various Retailers.

It is also becoming clearer for the Immortal Howden Ender, who after 2 years of set backs in taking apart in this Annual Event, has been able to secure at least 3 nights with the Troops and walk the remaining distance from Dalnacardoch. It has to be said, that with the SPL splitting the League only 5 weeks before the commencment of Highland Marching, seuring time off work, let alone booking accommodation and transport, it is a credit to him for his persistance. All moneies raised Individually by IHE will be distributed for research into Multiple Sclarosis.

Many thanks must be further passed on to Julie and Rebeca of Kaper Hair and Beauty, Mary of Virgin Vie, not to mention the duo of Darren and Liz at ICT's Commercial and Conferenceing Department. Without the support of these parties, as well as all those who have donated towards the cause, this event would not be possible.
