 The maps have been unfolded, folded, unfolded again, they've even been rotated and flipped and all in an effort to come up with the route for Highland March V.
The easy option would have been a trip on "Trusty Old Cycle Route 7" down the A9 corridor but that's been done to death in recent years and the troops fancied a new route and a new challenge. A course has now been plotted which takes the team along the Great Glen Way and skirts with Fort William before heading South on the West Highland Way and onwards then to Paisley. Read on for further route details and a colour coded guide to the week of walking that lies in wait for this years Highland Marchers. A few of the paths for the 'Off Road' sections do not show on Google Maps so it has been done on a best guess basis. Don't worry though, we will be using full OS Maps for the March to ensure we don't have anyone walking off cliffs.
